It is frightful work to find a way home; to climb through tiny passages of knowledge all the while dragging a great big soul behind you.

The road is long and some nights feel as though they will last forever, as if the truth of the world is night.

There are inns along this lonely road, places of respite with nourishment and friends, a place to rest and remember why you set out on the journey, and why you continue.

I cannot tell you everything, but I will tell you my portion of truth. I will offer it with generosity hoping it sustains you to wherever you are headed.

May this and every effort serve in your safe passage to wholeness.

“I often think of this paradox when I sit with someone with tears in her eyes, searching for some way to deal with a death, a divorce, or a depression. It is a beast, this thing that stirs in the core of her being, but it is also the star of her innermost nature. We have to care for this suffering with extreme reverence so that, in our fear and anger at the beast, we do not overlook the star. ”

— Thomas Moore, Care of the Soul
